About Us

Beer Software was established by Andrew Leslie in 1996 as an IT contracting company specialising in software development for the aerospace and defence industry.

Initially, Beer Software undertook a major contract with Reuters and built early websites for local companies in Beer and Branscombe.

Focusing on website development, Andrew's wife Karen now operates Beer Software. Having trained as a botanist, Karen has travelled widely in the tropics and worked at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and the Natural History Museum in London. She began to venture into web design during her time as a scientist working behind the scenes at the Museum. Karen moved into IT in 2000 as web editor for the Hertfordshire Grid for Learning.
