About Beer Software
Beer Software was established by Andrew Leslie in 1996 as an IT contracting company specialising in software development for the aerospace and defence industry.
At that time the company undertook major contracts with the Reuters News Agency and GKN Westland Helicopters. Alongside these contracts, Beer Software built early websites for local companies around Beer and Branscombe.
Beer Software now focuses on website development and maitenance ably assisted by Andy's partner, Karen Leslie. Karen moved into web development in 1998 whilst working at, The Natural History Museum, London. Karen became a web editor for the Hertfordshire Grid for Learning and spent several years developing the content, structure and design of the site working closely with 'digital maverick' Ian Usher. After a short time as the e-learning co-ordinator for Buckinghamshire County Council, Karen moved to the National College for School Leadership as an e-learning facilitator, developing online learning communities for school leaders. Karen worked to develop e-learning in a number of College programmes and specialised in e-learning in early headship, particularly within the innovative New Visions programme.
